Formula 1 in Montreal:
Racing Returns to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 2012
Along with the excitement over watching some of the most skilled drivers in the world race on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the Canadian Grand Prix also creates a celebratory atmosphere of Montreal itself. Right around the time of one of the world’s biggest music events in the Montreal Jazz Festival, the F1 race in Montreal arrives at a good time of year.
One likely absence from the race this year will be Montreal native and former F1 Champion, Jacques Villeneuve. Even with the absence of Villeneuve from F1 racing over the past few years, the Canadian Grand Prix has nonetheless remained a financial success. While there is a lot of appeal in having Jacques Villeneuve race in his hometown on a track that named after his father, storylines like the return of Michael Schumacher and the return of F1 Racing to Montreal should no doubt make the event a success. Jacques may have to wait for another year to race the circuit in a F1 car himself.
Canada's Grand Prix track is one of the calendar's most popular races year after year. F1 Corporate has guests returning to the Circuit Jaques Villeneuve for the unmatched party and motorsport atmosphere on and off the Formula One circuit. The mix or natural parkland, water around the Formula One Paddock, easy access by public transport and simply stunning weather in the middle of Canadian Summer.
Montreal, an atmospheric blend of North American and European culture, is a charming and exciting place.
