Silverstone is located on the A43 in Northamptonshire, 8km (5 miles) from Towcester and 9km (7 miles) from Brackley and Buckingham.

It is easily reached by two motorways - The M1, nearest junction 14 miles and the M40, nearest junction 15 miles and the A5 trunk route. These give fast links to the various principal airports serving the area.

From The South: Take the M40 and exit at Junction 10. Join the A43 signposted to Northampton. Silverstone is signposted from the A43. Take the M1 and exit at Junction 15a. Follow signs for the A43 to Oxford. Silverstone is signposted from the A43.

From The North: Take the M40 and exit at Junction 10. Join the A43 signposted to Northampton. Silverstone is signposted from the A43. Take the M1 and exit at Junction 15a. Follow signs for the A43 to Oxford. Silverstone is signposted from the A43.

NEW FOR 2007 Bus Transfer from Central Milton Keynes Station (Sunday only) This transfer service from Central Milton Keynes Station means that those race-goers who do not wish to drive to Silverstone can be transported direct to the circuit by bus. Tickets must be booked in advance and are available online at www.megabus.com. At present, the bus transfer will operate every half an hour to Silverstone with return journeys back to Milton Keynes at the end of the race. Transfers take approximately 40 minutes and are only available on Sunday. Fans can travel from many places in the country by train to Milton Keyes central on the west coast main line.

Bus Transfer from Junction 13 Milton Keynes Coachway (Sunday only) Another option for those not wishing to drive to Silverstone is to take a National Express coach to Milton Keynes M1, Junction 13 Coachway. Bus transfers onwards to Silverstone take approximately 40 minutes and, at present, will be running every half an hour, with return journeys back to Milton Keynes at the end of the race. Customers can book advance tickets online at www.megabus.com.

Bus Transfers from Northampton Rail and Bus Station (Three days) Stagecoach will be operating a ‘turn up and go’ service from both Northampton Rail and Bus stations. This will run approximately every half an hour over all three days of the event. Tickets can not be booked in advance. Instead, fans must purchase their tickets on the day. More details as well as accurate timetables will be available at www.stagecoachbus.com/northampton.

Airports
Nearest major airports with full range international services are London, Heathrow, London Gatwick and Birmingham. Some services also to East Midlands and Luton.
